First time to try unagi in Japan, was recommended by friends and relatives about this place, the unagi itself was tender and juicy, the sauce over it was too sweet for my tasting. It is pricey as it's a luxury delicacy in Japan. Far from the main city but it's worth it.

The unagi was nicely grilled and the pieces were very substantive compared to other unagi places. I think they grill it over charcoal so there is also the fragrance of smoked charcoal.

It's an incredible place, obviously a superstar for the local people. We came at about 1030 and it's already half full. By the time we left it's full house. This doesn't mean it's a small place. In fact it's among the largest eel restaurant I have ever seen that can house like close to a 60-80 people. The mood is very classical and the quantity is solid.
